how to set up vhs to computer for recording help???

hey i have a vcr and vhs what do i do to start recording.. how do i connect the vcr to my computer thats what i need to know first.

 

I would also like to know this. I am assuming that there is some special cord that runs from AVI output on the video player to a card on the computer?

I'll do a bit of research on the net.

 

OK, I think that you will need two things.

1. You will need a S-Video cable

2. You will probably need a card for your computer with an S-Video input (if it doesn't already have one). It would most likely come with some capture software.

I've got an Allinwonder video card
and I'm using the composite video (rca jacks)
No probs and pretty fair resolution.
