I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

    ive made about 7 coasters today,up until now,ive been nothing but successful backing up movies.i use shrink,shrink works fine,then nero starts burning it and freezes up after %40 and spits the disc out and this error message comes up,can anybody tell me what to do?

    Firmware is up to date.

    DMA should be on.

    Close some progs to free up some memory...don't multitask during burn.

    Back up at no more than 4X.

    Ah ha...I think this might be your problem

    Can't booktype DVD-R's, only +R's.

    DMA is on.i downloaded the firmware for my dru-710a.ill try burning some more dvds later on and let yall know how it goes.thanks for the help guys,i appreciate it.

    Yeah, do post your results back, even if it's a successful or failed burned alright. You're in good hand now.

    And yes BYX5 is the latest firmware for DRU710A, I have the same burner as yours and I'd updated mine about 2 weeks ago. In addition, I've never experienced any issues whatsoever with my DRU710A, all of my backups and burnings are flawlessly.

    alright ever since i downloaded the firmware for my burner everythings been kool.ive backuped batman begins,devils rejects,charlie and the chocolate factory,tombstone,and a few more without no prblems.

    Glad you're all set and back in business now. Yeah, it's good to have the latest firmware of your burner -- especially, it will enhances the burning performances and media compatibility.

    Now remember to update your Nero to 6.6.0.16 (it's your choice, but it's for the best; in my opinion).
