I have burnt bout 20 movies using Nero and it always works, now i bought a new spool of Sony DVD+R disc and I cannot get on DVD to burn. it doesnt even make it past 1% and an error comes up. i have tried changing things around, i get nothing, this has happened to me about 8 times now so i am just giving up cuz i dont want to waste any more blank disk. Please someone help me figure out what went wrong or if maybe my burning quit working or osmething like that.

They are the same disk that i bought last time i believe. Sony DVD+R. the only difference is that these ones have an AccuCore thing that the last ones didnt and i dont think that would make a difference?

Hello, rdeb15. Please post the last section of your Nero burn log that begins with your name and the program serial number, omitting the name and serial number in the post. The log is located in the following path:

Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory

This should help a great deal in diagnosing the problem. It could very well be the media, but it could also be something else.

    Thanks.

Hey rdeb15. Edit your post (click on the pencil/paper icon in the upper right of your post) and edit out your name and serial number.

Did you install another DVD burning program like Roxio Easy CD, etc.? If so run Roxizap by following the instructions here:

    http://www.roxio.com/en/support/kb/ecddvdc/ee6000061.jhtml

You might also try a different brand of media. Your media is TY which is very good. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a laptop burner? They tend to be picky with respect to media and usually aren't well supported with firmware updates.

You might also try creating an iso file with Nero or DVD Shrink and then burning with DVD Decrypter.

I spent a good portion of time trying to learn about this Matshita burner and little info is available.

My driver was good when i ran the driver detective. So i will go ahead and buy a different kind of media and see if that is my problem. I hope it is my problem and its not my burner going bad!
    thanks for all the help!

Now that you have re installed Nero and had a success, before you toss out your Sony discs give them another go, nothing to lose
