I've never used Nero recode before, but i have 2.2.6.17 with everything activated and stuff. Anyway, i tried using it for the first time the other day, and i had been informed that in the expert settings there would be a setting to change the transcode settings for the "mpeg-4" encoder...well i got something different. Mine said "AVC encoder" - still haven't figured out why! Anyone figure that one out?

That's not the problem though. I clicked burn and immediately it fails. Here's the log :

    ********* Nero Recode 2 **********

    Nth-pass file = C:\DOCUME~1\NICKMO~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\\Angel - 2x01 - Judgementa02896.bin

    ERROR in file:E:\Sources\Current\Recode 2.2 Compare\Nero Recode II\burning\../directshow/DSError.h, line:120, error:Unspecified error (0x80004005)
    02:45:44 File burn_ndigital.cpp, Line 200
    NeroDigital: exit

    ***************************

The only thing i noticed that was strange was the line "ERROR in file:E:\Sources\...." - that's because i have no idea why it's looking on my E: drive for something. My E: Drive exists, but at the moment it's completely blank!

    Thanks for your help!

That is not a completed Nero Recode log -- you need to provide the whole log in order for other members to assist you better.

It isn't? I apologise if it isn't, but i'm fairly sure it is. I've just tried to do another encode and i saved the log and i've made extra care this time in making sure this is absolutely everything that's in the "nerorecode.txt" file (minus the serials)

    Is that log from:

    \Nero Recode\Nerofiles\Nerohistory.log

because my recode logs are different from yours.

Actually, no it isn't. When the Nero recode fails, it asks me if i'd like to save a log and hence i save it. That's the one that i've posted. Incidentally, i have no

    \Nero Recode\Nerofiles\Nerohistory.log

    I have a \Nero Recode\ Directory, but there's no \Nerofiles\ directory.
