    Hi,

When I just bought my HP PC, my DVD-Rom work perfectly, it can read CD, DVD.. Since I don't know when, my DVD-Rom wasn't able to play DVD anymore.. I have try to insert any kind of DVD, but it doesn't detect that there's a DVD inside the driver.. When I insert a CD, it detect and I can play CD.. but not DVD...

Why is that? Can anyone find me the solution? Is there anything to do with Firmware?

    Thanks!

    1. You could try updateing the Firmware...
    2. try the drive in another system (a friends maybe)if you can
    3. If it does the same then the drive could be defective, if it works ok then you could have a software problem...
