If this is a new media type for you you may have to update your firmware for your burner to handle the media. Use the last link in my signature to look up your burner and the latest firmware.

Also if you have the ability, booktype your +R media to DVD-ROM as it will make it more compatable to stand alone players.

Make sure you're not burning at 16x or max speed. That drive should be capable of booktyping/bitsetting.

    Hi there,

Make sure you FINALIZE your burn also !

And as stated, don't burn too fast, 8x TOP MAX !

    You have a Philips or a BenQ 1625 ?

Check for a firmware update, specially since you are using brand new 16x media !
