    sistersin,

For better assistance, could you please specify:

    1) guide/programs used to create+burn the DVD
    2) Model of your burner
    3) Media used (DVD+R DVD-R /rw?)

Because if you are using DVD+R media and your drive supports booktyping/bitsetting. We can increase compatability of the DVD, which may be the issue in this case, even though JVCs are generally good with home made DVDs

Does it play ok on the drive that burned it? Could be any number of reasons. Poor quality media or format not compatable with the set top dvd player. Burned too fast. A few things to check: give us the mid code of your media useing dvd identifier http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ Keep burn speeds to 4x unles useing top quality media and then no more than 8x. Make sure your f/w is current. Defrag hdd and remove adware/spyware on a regular basis. For greatest compatability use +r media and booktype it to dvd-rom if your drive is capable. Shut down background programs while transcoding and burning. These are just a few things to check then we'll go from there.

I am using a Roxio Burner and the speed writing is 2x, I am using hp, fuji, tdk disc's and just had the whole computer redone and formatted because I thought maybe it was a virus or spyware or something like that, it will not play back on the player in the computer and that is brand new, just had it installed yesterday, I am using dvd+R along with 1clickdvd copy and region+css decrypter, the burner is a roxio, don't know what booktyping/ bitsetting is I am new to copying, don't know how to book type it to dvd-rom and I always make sure nothing is running in the back ground

I am not familiar with any roxio dvdrw drives. I didn't know they made drives. If so it is more than likely a rebadge. You need to determine the model and whether or not it is a rebadge and check that the firmware is current. We need some more info on the media you are useing. None of those you listed have very good reputations other than the fuji's and they are usually pretty good in the +r format. Use dvd identifier to give us the manufacturer's of all three of those medias. http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/

Here are some mid codes for those medias.

    HP DVD+R 2.4x (CMC MAG.R01)
    HP DVD+R 4x (CMC MAG.F01)
    HP DVD+R 4x (MCC.....002)
    HP DVD+R 8x (CMC MAG.E01)

    Fujifilm DVD+R 4x (RICOHJPNR01)
    Fujifilm DVD+R 8x (RICOHJPNR02)
    Fujifilm DVD+R 8x (YUDEN000T02)

    TDK DVD+R 4x (CMC MAG.F01)
    TDK DVD+R 4x (RICOHJPNR01)
    TDK DVD+R 8x (CMC MAG.E01)
    TDK DVD+R 8x (RICOHJPN R02)

Anything made by cmc mag is garbage and can be causing your problem.

The burner I am using is Micro Advantagedvd_+rw write speed 4x dvd rewrite speed 2x cd write speed 40x, all of these sites you are sending me to are greek to me, I am very confused, first I am told that Memorex is the worst dvd to use that I should use sony, fuji, tdk, and hp now you say that those are garbage, what should I use. I have defraged, had the computer dumped and started all over and I honestly don't where to go next, I don't know anything about what you are talking about, booktyping and bitsetting, I don't know where to go to find my firmware to see if it is current , I am totaly confused

Any media made by cmc magnetics is garbage. I never said to use hp or tdk media. Dvd identifier will ID who actually made your media. The name branded on the media doesn't mean squat in most cases. Simply download dvd identifier, insert one of your dvd's in your drive, open dvd identifier, click identify. It will tell you make, model, and f/w of your drive. It will tell you disc and booktype. It will tell you manufacturer name and ID. It will tell you media type ID.
