Hi, I use DVD Shrink to encode and Nero 6.6 to burn with AnyDvd running in the background. I do it this way because my hard disk only has about 13 MB free. My OS is 98se on a 500 Mhz - slower yes but it gets the job done. After encoding, I am usually left with approx. 5 GB and after burning with Nero and making sure that all went fine do I then delete the files that Shrink created. My free space is returned but for some reason many MB of free space disappears somewhere. I have no idea where! I looked through Windows Explorer but I can't find anything. Where are they and how do I stop that from happening again? Thanks.
If you are burning with Nero then it creates a log, are you saving this log(which can be quite lenghty) look here for log files Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory
Sorry I posted info late, check above thread, Cheers, let us know if this solves it.You cant disable it just send logs to recycle bin and dont save them in future
Sorry Gwendolin, not Gwendolyn, found the history log in Nero [actually Ahead] but the log appears not to be the disks that I backupped. Maybe they are but I'm not sure - no names in the list. What do you think?
Thanks Gwendolin, The storage space came back but I can swear there is more somewhere. Possible??? Also, when I burn will that history list return and should I delete it after every burn?
Really there is no need to keep the history file unless you have a problem with your burn, after each burn the question is asked Save Nero LOg, answer no.
