ok heres the problem........

i have a dvd i bought off ebay from austalia, its in PAL format it wont play on my house dvd player but it plays on my computer dvd burner..is there a program that i can get to rip or change it to ntsc ?? and after that how do i burn it back onto dvd i have NERO suite... thanks for your help

 

If you download this free prog VSODivxToDVD and where it says standard check NTSC and hit convert make a new file for your movie to go to, I call mine VIDEO_TS.IFO (destination) and then burn with Nero heres a link http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm
Maybe I went off a bit too fast here, if the movie is copy protected then you will have to use DVD Decrypter , which is also a free prog.

hmm i downloaded it..it doesnt say standerd anywhere...........or ntsc..

 

It should looke like this.Click on standard, it will reveal NTSC and PAL

 

hmm that must be the screen for burning...i am in the proces of converting right now but it seems like its gonna take a while.......

 

No this is the VSO DivxToDVD program, its where you choose either NTSC or PAL and then convert. Burning comes after conversion.

 

my version isnt like that..i have version 1.99.23.66

 

OK thats the newer version, the one I am using is no longer available. The newer one is slower but still has the feature to select either NTSC or PAL.
