Hi, I am having trouble burning CD's. The Cd burns but the last few minutes don't seem to work. I have tried different discs and also using sonic record but the same happens. @bubble502 Welcome to aD! Here's a few things to try: latest version is 103C - here's a link to upgrade your firmware: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2110 Not known as better media - firmware update may help this. For cd's I would use Maxell, Fuji or Sony - look for made in Japan. Whoa - I'd slow it down to at least 32x speed. Sorry - had to add this (no offense) Cowboys & Kisses ??????

Thanks for info I upgraded firmware to 3.01 - I read some threads about people having trouble with 3.2x. I also burnt at 32X and it seems fine I will get rid of memorex! I use TY for DVd's but I didn't think CD's mattered that much. Would you use TY for CD's as well?? Thank you
OMG - trash those memorex!! The cd's I have problems with (dvd's too) were the memorex ones. I have maxell's from the original (free) Napster days that still play fine. I also have Fuji's from a few years ago same thing play great. Yep cd's manufacturers make a difference also. For TY's look for the Fuji - made in Japan. I just id'ed the old maxell's - manufactured by Hitachi Maxell.
