So, I try to use the burner (lite on 52x32x52) for the first time in 6 months or so to burn this data cd and I'm having problems.

    - I'm burning from nero and the the % meter stops at 6.
    - I hear "trrp" noises occassionally during this period. (these last a sec apiece).
    - nero stops with error

You're burning at 16x. Many people experience problems burning beyond 4x. So try to keep it down (2-4x) and see how it goes.

    Good luck!

Can you be more specific with regard to what you're trying to burn?

i like to record football games. after i record them, i split them up into 650mb pieces and re-encode them.

i'm trying to burn one of these pieces.

What was the orginal format of the videos BEFORE you encoded them (e.g. avi, mpeg), and which program did you use for the encoding?
