First at all thanks to everybody to take the time to read my stuff...

Now I think the best is to describe the system where Nero is installed.

    P4 2.2 / 512MB RAM / LG writters / WinXP SP2 (latest drivers/updates/firmware)

Well I've found nero since the early 5 versions so, I'm pretty familiar with it, and when the v7 come out I've download/install the 100+ mb, then I had to reinstall windows (for a HDD Failure) and make a clean installation of Nero v7 but there's some problems:

1.- I don't use any of the media solutions boundled with Nero, so I don't need the "Nero Scout" (solved in a thread in this forum, ty).

2.- The file extensions of the files aren't recognized... all my saved proyects have no assosiation, any idead why?

3.- Every ISO made with the "Image Recorder" become corrupted, but not the NRG files... I need to edit the images, so I don't want to make a NRG then convert to ISO and edit. Again, any idea will be apreciated.

4.- What about updates? everytime we had to download the 100+ mb file (this is also asked in another thread, but is a good one)

5.- And the "Burn Rights" don't work at all... even Guest can burn.

There no logic in all that, first at all because is a *clean* installation after format/install windows.

To be more especific, the Nero installation NOT include:

    - Nero Home
    - Nero Vision
    - Nero ShowTime
    - Nero MediaHome
    - Nero PhotoSnap
    - Nero ImageDrive
    - InCD

There's no more "Burning ROM" now we have a "Everything (but burning) ROM", I see many people have problems with the new version. I can install the version 6 again but I don't want to trew the $80 dollars that I've paid for the version 7... lol

Any ideas/solution will be apreciated guys... thanks in advance =)

Hummmm.... let's have the very last section of your Nero log and we'll determine to see what's the problem alright. To get your Nero log, go here: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory -- now remember to edit/take out your Nero serial that starts with something like 5C80XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX or 5C82XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and post it here.

I don't know about you, but Nero Burning Rom (which I love it dearly) is a pretty useful application to have, especially if you likes to burn DVDs and CDs. It won't hurt to have Nero ShowTime and Nero Vision, the rest you can scrap them.

    1.- Solved before post.

    2.- Still a problem.

3.- Ohh I'm so ashamed, the ISOs are now OK... was just a problem with my ISO editor, not Nero.

    4.- Still a doubt.

    5.- Still a problem.

Luckyly the 8.5gb media is always near me and I just use Nero to burn the image files made with it. I really don't edit video and stuff like that, I just burn backUps.

Thanks for the tip dude =)

Well, I've decided to reinstall every* (*almost, InCD and ImageDrive were excluded) applications of Nero, and all the problems were solved but one, I couldn't start Nero Home and obviously the Nero Scout went wrong too, but was because I used the "regsrv32 /u" command on the DLL that handles Nero scout, so I've re-register the DLL and all the problems were solved.

    Thanks in any way...

Ohh, one more thing... I have to admit that the media solutions included in Nero are just great... I'm ashamed to speak before try.

    /me = to dumbass
