I am trying to find a way to archive my Xbox discs. That way I could play on the archive and store the original...

    Please give me some direction.

    Thanks.

No. Archive as in duplicate the Xbox disc so that I can then put the original one away and play off of the duplicate copy.

You will need to ftp the game disc contents to your computer. Then you need to convert the files to XDFS File system with a program like craxtion or Qwix. Once you created the iso, burn it to a disc

What format disc does the ISO need then to be burned to: DVD+R or DVD-R? Burn it at the slowest speed too, right?

Any other tricks? Can it be played on an unmodded Xbox? Have you actually done it? Does the DVD burning software matter? Or just anything that burns DVD's???

Almost all xbox's read DVD-R so I would reccomend that burned at slow speed. Your xbox does need to be modded (for ftping and an unmodded xbox just won't read copied/burned games) and you can use a burning program like DVD Decrypter or Nero. Sorry for the double post.
