I have burned several CDs from files using both of the above and I cannot play them on me CD player nor can they be played on another one I tried.
I have no idea of what I am doing. I used to be able to burn CDs. Would some one guide me through the process? I have no interest in MP3 or such. I have an old CD player. I just want a format that will play on most CD players.
    Thank you.

What do you mean by, "I used to be able to burn CD's"? Have you used these programs before & now suddenly can't? When you open Nero's Burning ROM, do you click on "Audio CD" then "New"? Because Nero by default will burn a Data CD if you don't click on "Audio CD". Are you using the same burner as before? I'm not sure about WMP burner because I never use it.

I do not know how I burned any CDs. It seems I just "did it." All I need is someone to walk me through on how to do it. I do not understand directions as they are presented by books and on line instructions. I have changed nothing as far as I know. You must understand most of this stuff has no meaning to me. I learn by doing it over and over from simplistic instructions.
    Thank you

I finally got one to work. I think I can repeat the process again.
Too many years on the old brain.
    Thanks
