I've recently been experiencing a problem with Nero. When I try burn a blank DVD, I get a failed burn process and the log says something about an ["Illegal disc"]. Now I know some of you guys have told other people with similar problems its the quality of the media but I have been using the same discs for ages. I use Melody disc. The problem seemed to start when I tried a trial verson of [Alcohol 120%], which a friend recommended for backing up PS2 games. So I'm not sure what to do now. If it helps, I'm using Nero 6.6.0.1 OEM Enterprise Editiion. My burner is an AOpen DVD+RW/+R JustLink burner. Once again, my media is Melody +R 4.7gb discs. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
Well for staters even for Nero 6 that is a very old version. Even though you have an OEM version you can still update it. And you really should try a different brand of media to see if it is the media.
Thanks for the help. Yeah, it was the media. Melody work well generally but it turns out about half that spindle was a crap batch. Learn't my lesson, no more cheap burning discs.
