I've installed Nero 7 using the Custom installation options. I do not need all of the Nero Ultra features on my laptop.

When I upgrade in the future, will the Nero upgrade only install upgrades for those components I originally installed?

    Thanks for any replies!

Not that I'm an expert, far from it, however MY best educated guess is NO. Let me tell you why...

    I. too, use custom install, always have, on everthing I have ever installed (I don't like being told what to install, and where.). Several versions of Nero ago, I learned that INCD was incompatable with win98 (yes, I still use that), so whenever I install a new version I know not to install INCD. Hence, I always "X"it out when I unstall. When I ATTEMPTED (cos I've yet to be successful) to load 7 not only was it already "Xed" out when I got to that place in the install, but I would have done it anyway. After two days of frustration concerning LOCKED drives whenever I tried to burn anything, I found that INCD had been installed anyway. I used the INCD Cleaning tool just cos I had run out of other things to try, and it found stuff on my system.
So I would say ALWAYS beware of straggler components.....

(sorry to rain on your parade), I think I"m going back to ver 6. Never had any probs there, and 7 has been nightmare after nightmare!
