I installed a copy of 10.3 (panther ppc) version on a blank hdd from vmware running osx86. It installed fine , but I put the hdd into a imacDV 400mhz it comes up with a flashing file folder with a picture of the finder inside it. I could manually browse the hdd from inside vmware so i'm pretty sure the install went ok. Does it do some sort of hardware check on the imacDV and cuz it wasn't installed from the cd-rom it fails the boot process. My buddies dvd-rom is broke and we are trying to install a new OS on his computer but i'm running out of ideas. HELP PLEASE ANYONE?
