Hi I've been burning DVD's for a couple of days now and this is the first error I've gotten. I am only getting it with this one DVD so far and I've burned about a dozen dvds without any problems. I'd really appreciate any input. (bunch of numbers) Interpretation: L-EC Uncorrectable Error[/bold] any help would be greatly appreciated
Which movie were you trying to rip? There are a couple of possiblities: Either the disc is dirty or bad or you are trying to rip a newer Sony Movie like Lords of Dogtown, Madagascar, Bewitched, etc... For the newer Sony movies, You can try DVDFab Decrypter which is free, AnyDVD which is not Free, or Follow a guide that I posted for Sony Movies: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/255980 As for cleaning the discs, you will get many great responses in no time if that is the case.
