I noticed that some DVD's have multiple Dolby 2.1 tracks, in addition to one Dolby 5.1 and most of the time one DTS track.

Why the multiple Dolby 2.1 tracks? I've started un-selecting them to make more room for the DTS. So far, no problem.

I do want my burnt DVD's to be playable on most players and need the 2.1 track.

    Thanks for any replies!

If you play the dvd and go through the Language Menu's, you might see all the types of audio streams there are. Or if You are using shrink, You could left click on the preview screen and see options to actually listen to the streams while preview is playin to see what's up. My guess is that the 2.1's are maybe stereo tracks, director's commentary, or foreign language tracks or stuff like that.
