Download DVDFab Decrypter or get AnyDVD. These handle the newer encryptions and should solve this issue.

    Cheers.

Then try the free DVD Fab Decrypter available from http://www.filepedia.com under rippers. Use it to rip to your HDD and then open Shrink and proceed to open the file and burn.

Not the same, apples to oranges. DVDFab decrypter is a ripper with a built in encryption breaker. AnyDVD just breaks encryptions and then you have to use a ripper.

AnyDVD is probably updated for new encryptions quicker. Both are equally good in my opinion. AnyDVD notifies you when there is an update. You have to check for update with DVDFab.

    I have them both.

Ya ... buy it old boy! You need it for the new encryptions. No dis intended but you wouldn't have even started this thread if you had AnyDVD v. 5.5.1.1. Get the combo deal that includes CloneDVD2. It will end all your headaches with the freeware and shareware programs.

The AEC or quality settings are based on the amount of compression if it is under 80% you may want to use Smooth, under 70% the Max Smooth. Otherwise just leave at default.

The pauses are not because of the settings, keep you burn to 6 or 8, and make sure the firmware on your burner is up to date.

When using Dvd Decrypter or Fab Decrypter and then Dvd Shrink afterwards approximately how long should it take to burn a dvd... cause for me it takes 5hrs or more is that how long it should take and now i changed the setting on Dvd Shrink to maximum smooth now the estimated time is 7hrs... someone told me it only takes 10mins now i think that person is being to dramatic...

    @ phatjiggy:

This usually depends on you computer specs. For me, it only takes 12 - 15 minutes to burn. BTW, I use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. For the whole process, starting with ripping, encoding, and finally, burning. I'm done in a little under an hour. (I burn under 4x.)

I have an AMD Sempron 3200:

    1.9 mghz
    160 gigs
    512 mb

So you see, your 5 - 7 hour burn seems a "tad" much.

I'm thinking your dma settings might've switched to PIO mode.

To change click on the link and look up the 2nd question:

    Good Luck!
