    Is this a new burner?
What is the brand, model number, and firmware version? This is given by DVD Decrypter at the top of the righthand side of the window.
What brand of media are you using? This is labeled as Disk ID: on the righthand side of the DVD Decrypter window.

Does your drive read commercial DVDs?
Can you get the brand and model number of the drive from the box it came in or did you ourchase a new computer system with the drive already installed?
Download DVD Identifier and post back what it says.

    http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/

Is the name of your burner, etc. displayed in the Drive Selection and Drive Write Capabilities menu?

    Also:
Right click on My Computer and select Manage
    Click Device Manager
What is listed under DVD/CD-ROM drives on the righthand window pane?
