Sorry if I am in the wrong Forum but I was struggling to work out which one is applicable! I have just started using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. But every now and then (like now, this minute) I actually want to write a data CD. My dual layer DVD drives are both supposed to be CD drives too - and they were last week! But now, even though I have inserted a blank CD in the drive and the drive is recognising it as such and registering as a CD drive - whenever I try to do anything I am getting "drive inaccessible - incorrect function" messages. Someone has helpfully told me that AnyDVD is causing this, but they don't know how or what to do about it!!! I have tried turning off autostart in Any DVD (to shut it down) and rebooting - but to no avail. The problem still exists. Can anyone help?

You might want to uninstall the device and reboot and let windows reinstall it. That might help.

I am using CloneDVD2 and CloneCD for backups and Windows XP for data copying onto CD - or I was! And thanks for the uninstall hint - that was desperate measure No# 12!!! Uninstalling solved the problem until I reinstalled it - it would appear that AnyDVD is overriding Windows and getting to the disks first - and them not playing with CD disks for data purposes (but will brilliantly back up audio!) This is really annoying as I am happily in love with my software for DVD's, but now having to consider getting rid and looking elsewhere as I do need to be able to put data on CD's.

you might be one of the unlucky ones , uninstall slysofts anydvd but then reboot. If you reinstall it, make sure that down by the clock, you right click the icon and make it a non auto loading program.

If this doesnt work you may find that dvd43 is a more suitable program .It does the same thing as sltsofts anydvd
