hi everybody, I have a notebook hp pavilion zv5000, equipped with a dvd [HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4080N] I experienced problems in burning either writable dvds as re-writable dvds. I haven't been able to burn EMTEC dvds +R, as for VERBATIM -RW. Triyng different trademarks I found out that it works with PHILIPS dvds (by now the only support working ) Here u are the copy/paste of the Nero log. What kind of media is that shown in your log?Is it double layer? Does your burner support the media that you are using and is the burner firmware up to date, http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Home.aspx
the support was a VERBATIM -RW (normal not a double layer) as for the firmware, thanx a lot for the link I will take a look at that ....but I'm not shure which is the manufacturer of my burner...can someone find it out and send me the link for the firmware? thanx again for the support
Yep allready checked but nothing...... Another problem is that I've been told that upgrading the firmware will cut down the warranty on my laptop....is it true? If someone of you can find the right firmware please tell me cause I looked but I found only firmware for HL-DT-ST DVD-RW G M A-4080N and not for mine that is HL-DT-ST DVD-RW G W A-4080N. Wait for a response from u all guys
