Simple request..convert DVD to single file such as mpeg, avi, etc

    I have searched and can't seem to find the forum post or guide on how to do this. I would like to get a DVD..and convert it into a single stand alone file on my computer...

    What programs do I need to accomplish this? any freeware?

    I currently am running WindowsXp pro and Nero 6 Ultra. Also went ahead and downloaded DVDShrink and DVDEncrypter.

    Since you have Nero you could use Recode to create a single mp4 file. For an avi, check out AutoGK.

    Comes in the Vision Express pack. Is that not part of ultra?
