i saw something interesting when i inserted the cd after it was burnt completely... this is what it says in the right pane on dvd decrypter.... the parts in bold are DVD +R DL when i enter a blank DVD +R DL, but now one is DVD +R DL and the other is DVD-ROM.. does that mean it worked??? it says this as soon as i load dvd decrypter... i dont think it means it found it..i put an empty dvd+R DL and got the same line.. but check out the post i put b4 this..maybe that helps?
@swy000 Congratulations..!! you did it, you've successfully changed the book type from a DVD+R DL = DVD-ROM, now you're free of worries.
again, i dont mean to sound like i wwanna prove u wrong, but the dvd-rom is just my alcohol 120 virtual drive... i get that when i run dvd decrypter... i removed the virtual drive, and my log now is this... I 23:30:01 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 started! I 23:30:01 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 23:30:01 Initialising SPTI... I 23:30:01 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 23:30:01 Found 1 DVD±RW! so its just the loading part of dvd decrypter..i wanna know if the DVD +R DL has changed to a DVD-ROM...

You DID it, YOU DID it, you DID it, thats 5 times I've told you and once Alkohol has told you. just believe us, YOU DID IT
ok ok ok ... .. i think ill believe it after 5 times... just kiddin.. well here is an intersting question.. would it be better to burn +R DL or +R DL eeprom! (i did some googling and it turns out its some electronically erasable prog read only)... i dunno the difference... i tried the first one and i hguess it worked.... i guess im curious what the second is.... any ideas?
Just a tip for future use, when you take a snapshot you dont need to use the whole screen, have you tried using www.photobucket.com
you're getting there, the screen on this page will continue to be wide to accomodate wide shots you already posted so next page will revert to normal size, saves scrolling.
@gwedolin ok i got the right size now...sorry bout those big a** pictures.... take it eaz on me bro.. :s.... dont mean anyone any harm... :S... so can i get some help with this? any ideas?
edit out that first huge picture or resize it then i'll have a look myself, but not while that humugous piccy is still there, it's making navigating thru the thread a right pain
swy000, Your first dvd decrypter log was only showing that it detected a dvd-rom drive and a dvdrw drive (line 5). It didn't say that the media was booktyped dvd-rom. The second log verifies it was booktyped dvd-rom. A good proggy to verify booktype has been changed to dvd-rom is dvd identifier http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ I would use the eeprom setting that way the dvd-rom setting will be stored permanantly in the drive unless you change it again. Otherwise the setting is stored in the volitile memory and will need to be set to dvd-rom again everytime you shutdown your pc or reboot.
@mort81 thnx for the clarification..i think ill use the eeprom then.. i downloaded the "proggy" u suggested and will try it as soon as i get home..... thnx for that too..!
