Hi, I tried to search to see if anyone else had my problem and couldn't find any threads. Well. When I installed the Nero 7, it worked fine, and then a couple days after the install I go to burn and when I try to open Smartstart, it shows up in my Processes but never acutally opens. Second, when I try to open Nero Express or any other Nero App I get a weird error, "Possible License Problem Contact Your Administrator", which is weird cause it was the demo, and it worked perfect before. So I've installed and redownloaded Nero 7 about 4-5 times. I also got the Nero Cleaning tools and cleaned the registry and everything that had to do with any version of Nero 6/7 off my computer, and I got more errors which I forgot to record and have to revert my hard drive. I emailed Nero for help, but have yet to be answered. Can anyone offer any help? I don't know any other good burning programs than Nero and I need to be able to burn cds. -Thanks
I had the same issue, so I decided to get my hands dirty and search the registry. In case you have a serial/cd-key, go to the registry and enter it here: [bold]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info[/bold] Then you'll see [bold]Serial7[/bold] string value. Enter the serial, keeping the asterisk (*) and enjoy. I hope this helps.
