When I first started copying DVD's I was using DVD+RW so if I had problems I could erase them and start over.

I was at Staples the other day and picked up a stack of Imation DVD+R disks. I know there not the best but considering the kids sometimes use them for frisbees, they should serve my purpose and not break the bank as I copy and recopy their favorite disks.

I copied the same file that worked on a DVD+RW onto a DVD+R and stuck it into my two home DVD players and neither of them can read the disk. Any ideas why my home DVD player will read the RW but not the R disk?

    Thanks.

You may be having a firmware issue with your drive. Have you updated your firmware to the most current version?

Use the last link in my signature block and see if there is an upgrade for your burner.

I updated the firmware and I'm back up and running.
