Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Video resolution sizes w/ ipod video

#1 18 Nov 2005 @ 18:59
I just converted a widescreen movie into a 480x480 mp4 file and when i play it on my ipod i have black boxes on the left and right sides of the screen instead of the horizontal boxes u get with a widescreen movie. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a 350x240 movie looks like on the ipod, and i was also wondering if anybody got any other resolutions to work on the ipod, im looking for a resolution that can take up the whole screen.

Hi, adamryer.
As usual, iPod video is 320*240. I suggest you convert the 350*240 movie to a 320*219 MPEG4 file. PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter supports adjusting resolutions, you might as well download it from http://www.goripper.com/download/pqdvd_ipod.rn.exe to try out.
