Hi guys, I've been looking at the Lite on SHW 1635S, and when trying to find a good deal i noticed that vendors have stuck codes such as "01C" "02C" and "05C" stuck on the end of them eg, Lite On SHW-1635S-05C What do these codes mean, and do the different versions vary in quality?
what you are seeing is the firmware id that the drive is set with go to lite on site and check what is the latest firmware for that drive you can download the newest firmware and flash the drive

Hi, i've actually bought a SHW-1635S. So are you saying that if i bought 1635S-02C, all i need to do is update the firmware and it'll be a 1635S-05C? Thanks
