Compressing music on to a cd-r

    Here's the thing I have been told I can fit up to 500 songs on one disk but I don't know how to do it and no one will tell me how, if it makes a differnce I have nero 7. Can someone please help me. in advance I am sorry if this subject is already posted I did a search but nothing came up. I hope this is also where I was suppose to post this.

    hi, to do this you want to do a normal data cd, the music files would be in mp3 format or maybe a more compressible format. for me, using mp3 format, i get about 10 to 14 albums on a cd, therefore 150ish songs, dunno how you'd achieve 500 songs or if it's possible. maybe different audio format is needed. i don't know all the formats so hopefully someone will come along with more specifics

    what i do is just start a normal data cd compilation, then drag all the mp3's into the left window 'til you have enough to burn a cd. however Nero will reorder the files due to the file names, ie they won't stay in the order you want them - see here for ways around it - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/212585
