I dont know much about what phones would be good to buy. I need something that will have a few cool features and be easy to unlock. I am a total n00b and trying to grasp what are the benfits of unlocking (will read more.) I Think I want to get a pay as you go phone?

any suggestions are greatly appreciated, _Rodent :)

Unlocking is only useful if you need to use your phone with another carrier.

Read this for a basic idea of what unlocking is:

Most peeps don't know what the hell unlocking really does but they can't sleep at night thinking they're missing out on something...Not really all that useful for 90% of peeps unless they travel to different countries and need to use a different provider on their phone.

I don't claim it to be the best, but it's a popular phone that has a killer sleek look and a lot of stuff can be done to it to customize it...yes, the RAZR V3...camera, bluetooth, great speakerphone quality and u can enable video on the phone as well as put plenty of games and stuff in it.

Dunno if u can get it pay as u go tho.

Eskimonio, thanks for the reply much appreciated :). I guess unlocking really is not that important for my instance. easily customizable is nice. I dont want to be paying for ringtones bcz i think paying for that service is similar to atm teller fees or msn buy a smilie for 1.00$ "money grabbing capitolist corporations"

I want to avoid getting nickel and dimed to death as i had with my previous wireless provider.

    thx again, _Rodent
