Hello all. I have back up many DVDs and I have just run into a problem. Dvd decrypter is stuck at about 1.8x while it is decryting. The buffer level does not go above 3 percent. Is the dvd writer going bad or am I doing something wrong. Thanks
It's hard to say for sure what the problem is. Is this an internal drive? Is the DMA turned on? Is the disk dirty or scratched in some way. Is you hard drive very full and fragmented? Is this happening with all your backups or just one specific disk? What disk is it?
For some reason when I unhooked my cd burner from the computer the dma got set back to PIO mode. I set it back and it works. Thanks for the help. Later
