What's better or would you prefer to have, a Samsung D500 or a Motorola V3 Razr? I'm trying to decide between the two.

Don't know much about the D500 but I've had a RAZR V3 for about 3 months now. I was very excited about getting it, but it has proved to be disappointing. I didn't like the fact that to transfer data with a USB cable with the MBT v3.11 software was just plain annoying. Had problems with either my computer not identifying the phone as a hardware device or the software didn't allow me to see the phone so as to facilitate transfers. Got around that by having to attach the phone, run the software, then turn off the phone then turning it back on. There are newer versions of MBT so maybe that addresses that problem. Alternatively you could get a USB Bluetooth adapter for you computer. I think the sound quality(ie listening to a caller)is also poor especially if there is noise around you, eg at a mall etc. The reception is also less than desirable. I have lost calls that I wouldn't have in the past with my Nokia 3310 and my Panasonic GD75. What annoys me as well is the fact that the phone has this constant irritating smell as if there was an electrical fire or something just fried in its circuitry. Can't quite describe it to you. Those are my qualms with it. I can overlook all else, with the exception of the smell as that has been affecting my sinuses. I am seriously looking for a replacement but I haven't decided on that yet. On the plus side it has a sleek form factor and some nice features. I looked at the D500 on a web site and it appears to have a better camera than the RAZR but appears to bulkier. Could be wrong about the latter. Did not look at the dimensions but only at the picture of the D500. All in all I think that it's too over rated, more fashion than function.

Which phone would you use? I have a D500, but I'm curious of what it would be like using a razr v3. I mean it's thin and it's a flip phone where as the d500 small and slide...which has better features? What about cost diff?

According to the Samsung website, the D500 has 128 MB total memory / 96 MB User memory. Great for all those photos, MP3s etc.

The V3 only has an internal memory of 5MB

So if I was choosing, I'd go for the D500/D600

I like my razr...don't know sh*t about the samsung, but the extra memory in the samsung would be a monster plus

Also don't know if there's as much modding with the samsung and or as many games...this is something u might wanna consider

    Also:
    does samsung have bluetooth
    video with sound?

AS far as the dood who said that his razr has poor quality in the earpiece, etc. That's cuz he hasn't tweaked his gain settings...I have tweaked mine and the phone has plenty of volume in both earpiece and speaker.

I wish I bought the D600 but it's way too expensive! I have the D500 which I got a good deal out of off without any plan. Has Bluetooth
