dvd+r

    Hi im new to this so here goes i live in england and have just subscribed to this site.Ok the problem is my bro has just downloaded a game from the internet,it works fine he did a copy of it onto a dvd+r disc and tried it on his pc to make sure it was working ok.No probs there its a perfect picture sound etc,and plays fantastic now then i tried it on my pc but....my dvd does not seem to recognize the data or not installing we hear it trying to install with that whirl sound inside,and part of the light flashing but nothing at all we tried it several times but no good.So we went back to his pc and it works fine could it be my dvd or problem with my pc i can install other games no problem help plz ty...

    hi and welcome, i'm in UK also, and have a fantastic site for reputable media - www.svp.co.uk

    anyways, let's get some more info, ie for a start let's find out what discs you got there; download dvd identifier (free) from here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm and use it to 'identify' that disc and paste results here..

    Also, download Nero's info-tool program (free) from http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Info_Tool.html in case you haven't got it already, and run it, pasting it's (long) output here. this details a system's setup really well and it might give us some clues. you can always edit the post containing the logfile afterwards, if necessary so other ppl don't have to trawl thru the log

    Hi ijust checked dvd+r are not supported but dvd-r is dvd+r box is unchecked so thats that thanks any way m8.
