OK, the first time I burned a DVD, it was with DivxToDVD after I converted it from .avi format.. and when I tried to play it on my PS2, I got an error "TV System Doesn't Match"... so this time around, I've used DivxToDVD to convert it from .avi, then DVD Shrink to create an ISO image and now I'm going to use DVD Decryptor to burn that .ISO.. before I waste another blank DVD-R that I'm running out of, should this work on my PS2? Is there any other minor changes I should make before burning? And what write speed shuld I do?
I think you might be trying to play a different color system than the one you have? If you're in the U.S. your tv system is NTSC. Get AVIcodec and run it. Take your video file and drag it to AVIcodec, now there should be some info at the bottom. Find the part that says "FPS" if it's 29.9-- it's NTSC, if it's 25 fps it's PAL. fps stands for frames per second. If you have an NTSC television and PS2, you won't be able to play PAL video on it.
It is indeed actually 25fps and I'm in the US.. how can I convert it to NTSC? Or will the new method I have work?
You could just buy a player that plays both format. But if you don't feel like shelling out a couple bucks there is a thread in the "DVD+/-foradvancusers" forum titled "An idea for the guy who want to convert to NTCS" or something like that.
