I am unable to backup my DVDs. I am currently using AnyDVD 5.5.1.1 and CloneDVD2 2.8.5.1. I get an error saying that "Writing to video media was not successful. Media write error." and that is it probably being caused by a bad media. I have tried several different brands of blank DVD medias and I keep getting the same error: writeDVD 10 11 W2. It goes through the creating process just fine and then goes to the writing process and claims to be writing, but no progess is shown on the progress bar and then after a minute or two it give me the error message.

Anyone know why this is occurring? Any information would be a great help.

shrink it with clonedvd to iso and write with dvd decrypter and go to mode>iso>write. it looks like it is clonedvd2 or your burner is dying. what media are you using? try some verbatim or if your willing to go online buy some taiyo yuden media.

Again, thank you both so very much for your help.

I tried the ISO approach and also did a firmware update. Neither worked. Turns out, my burner was toast! I bought a new burner, installed it, and everything is working beautifully!

All this on top of finding out our brand spanking new Xbox 360 is going to need to be sent back to Microsoft. It has a bad DVD driver. It's hard work having all these toys. Ain't technology grand!... when it works. Oh, well.

Hey, Happy Thanksgiving and thanks again.
