There's no need to rename all those files. If you have Nero Recode, this is very easy to do:

    1) Rip both dvds to harddisk, each under a separate folder (e.g. movie1, movie2).

    2) Run Recode, click 'remake a dvd', 'import titles', then go highlight the video_ts folders of the respective movies, add the various titles to the compilation window, and follow from there.

If you use Shrink, click 'reauthor', and do more or less the same things.

    Happy dvd authoring!

I have a similar situation...I already have 2 seperate dvds in their own folders each w/ seperate video_ts folders inside. I want to put both on 1 dvd disc.
I have Nero but (I don't think Recode). I can try & add Recode & use method you describe BUT 1 of the dvd's(video_ts folders) contains more than 99 "titles" so will not "load" completely into Nero as of now. Will Recode also limit the number of titles to 99 too?
    Thanks

    @ piikea,

I'm not sure about the title limit thing. But you can always try the 'Reauthor' function of Shrink.

    Good luck!

Thanks, but no luck there either. Tried to reauthor w/ Dvd Shrink but it doesn't display the contents of the folder (the vob, ifo, bup, etc.) - they are there but cannot be opened or put in the Dvd Browser area.

Oh, with Shrink, did you do this:

Run Shrink, click 'reauthor', then go highlight the video_ts folder of the movie, and click to paste the various 'titles' of the movie onto the compilation window, then burn with e.g. Nero?

Yes I did but I navigate to the folder that contains the video_ts folders & it is shown in the dvd browser window but it's contents (vob, ifo, bup's) do not show up in window below where it has name/type/size. As if the folder were empty which it isn't.
I can't seem to get "inside" the folder & have it's contents display??

It does not show main title or title, etc. as some others do.

If it's only this one dvd that's refusing to show its 'titles', then maybe both Nero and Shrink have failed to work with it. Can it be read and copied by itself in the normal manner?

I will try & get a new copy of the source in case it is defective.
