Hi I'm new here, I'm sorry if you've got an introduction thread to say hello first but I didn't see it, so I'll say hi now! Hi! Anyway, on to my problem, when I try and burn a DVDR, it won't recognise my DVD recorder, it'll only burn an image to my hard drive. I'm using nero 7 ultra edition on windows xp service pack 2 and I've got a liteon dvdrw sohw-8125. Thanks for any help in advance. P.S. Is it an any good drive?
1) I have the same dvdrw myself, been using it for more than a year, burnt about 500 discs with it (poor fellow), absolutely no problem, and still going strong. 2) Did your problem just happen after installing Nero 7? Did you try other programs, or check your system with e.g. Nero Info Tool?
Yeah I think it's a good little drive aswell. Well it's only with nero 7 I have the problem, with all other versions it's been fine and with other cd/dvd burning software it's still fine. It's just nero's the only program I've got that can burn authored dvds. Well I suppose really it's more a problem of convenience and just wanting my software to work, because what I've been doing to get round the problem is burning the authored dvds to an image file with nero and then burning the image to a real dvd with another program. Also what other programs can burn authored dvds? Thanks.
Nero 7 appears to be giving many people the headache. Still, so long as you can find a way around it, it's fine. Cheers!
