Just used dvd decrypter to rip a dvd and when I examine it within nero recode 2 I find that the main movie soundtrack is missing

I selected copy all dvd from nero recode 2 but when I highlight the main movie section, the sound is missing (Ong Bak - Region 2)

The strange thing is that on all the extras the sound is fine, but when I preview the main movie, the sound refuses to reveal itself

I have posted a similar problem with missing sound and menu titles in a previous post and presumed, as I was still a greenhorn with this utility, that it was solely my fault, but it is looking as though there may be more than meets the eye

Put simply, all I want to do is back up some of my favourite dvds onto a single or dual layer and keep the 5.1 or dts soundtracks intact, something I am struggling to do

It looks as though the only way I can do this is to rip into a single ISO file and burn onto a dl disk using dvd decrypter to burn

The ripping to files is looking a no go option at the moment, especially with the sound problems.

    Any advice anyone???

Just tried previewing the ripped files with nero showtime and it reports that it is not licensed to play DTS soundtracks. It looks as though the DTS is being selected on the preview sections, so I wonder if that will also apply to the burned product (ie it will only play in a compatible dts player - will give it a try - possible coaster alert !!!)

    1. In Nero Recode select "Make A DVD"
    2. Import from your hard drive were you have ripped the movie.
    3. In the audio section add DTS. Do not remove any preselected Audios for this might cause a movie with no sound.
    4. Click Next and select Advanced Analysis and High Quality Mode this does slow the process but works better.
    5. Burn no higher than 4x, you will have less errors (more like none).

    hope this helps
