Switching Computers

    i have a Computer with a 40GB HD that ive been using for a while(We'll call it computer A). I got a new computer(computer B)from my uncle and want to format the HD on it(B).

    could i format Computer B and and then just take out computer A's HD and put it in Computer B. A's harddrive i am using right now so its got an OS on it already.

    what windows version are you using & are the 2 motherboards the same or different?

    im using windows xp pro and both motherboards are diff.

    can try it but go into safemode to uninstall previous drivers than restart in normal mode to let it load it's drivers.
