i'm trying to record some old vhs tapes to dvd's. i have some vhs tapes that play find in one of my vcr's but when i try to record them the picture bounce and it won't record. is there anything to stop the picture from bouncing.
You have probably run into Macrovision copy protection. You'll need some hardware to bypass it, either a good stabilizer or a digitizer that ignores it. Start reading other threads in this forum, especially the longer ones on VHS to DVD. The answers are all there.
