Well I have a smart XX 2.0 chip installed on my xbox. I setup all my exolution x and such on my other xbox. And now I'm trying to use my original untouched hard drive to connec to xbox live. As usual with modded xboxes im getting the Could not connec to xbox live error. So Cables, IP settings, and DNS are good to go. In attempt to fix the xbox I formatted the drive using auto installer deluxe, reinstalled the xbox dashboard. and unlocked it and locked it again with Config Magic. Still getting the same error. my XYZ settings are

    W:0000-000B
    X:0000-000D
    Y:008A-0F80
    Z:AFFF-0018

I know my account isnt banned because I never connected to xbox live with it modded. But FTP, and everything else works fine so its not a hardware problem. I read somewhere the 8A in my Y setting may be a difference due to changing region settings, but i never did anything with that. I also used Enigmah PAL-NTSC just to double check and make sure i was NTSC and it was fine. So there are no changed files on the drive. It's locked, all my network settings are fine. I am totally stumped! If anyone can help me out that would be great! Thanks

Use the following procedure to fix the DNS not resolved error:

    1. Shut off your computer
    2. Unplug your modem and router
    3. Disconnect the cable plugging into your computer coming from your modem or router
    4. Disconnect your computer from your router and connect your computer to your modem

    11. Type ipconfig/all
    12. Under 'Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection' look for DNS Servers and Physical Address
    13. Copy down the number(s) (i.e. 69.25.49.23, 00-00-00-00-00-00)

    26. Enter the first DNS server into the primary DNS server selection, and as a secondary enter 192.168.0.1
    27. Try to connect
    28. If you still cannot connect in the primary DNS server selection enter the second DNS server (if you had) you found from your computer, and as the secondary enter 192.168.1.1

    4. Type ipconfig/all
    5. When you get to your default enabled connection copy down the letter/number sequence called the physical address, and the DNS servers
    6. Unplug your modem
    7. Turn on your Xbox without a disc in the drive
    8. Go to Xbox Live
    9. Go to network settings
    10. Go to DNS settings
    11. Enter the DNS settings you copied down
