I am new to dvd softwares and i was looking for a dvd burning software and i found other stuff. What is the difference between dvd ripping, dvd cloning, dvd burning, dvd converting and dvd copying?
Hmmmm... let me try to explain in a simple way. Rip or ripping = to tear out, you're getting the files (movies, games or music) from an original dvd/cd into hard drive. Burning, cloning & copying = you're writing files (movies, games or music) into a DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, CD-R, CD-RW, etc. Converting = you're changing either from a DVD format into AVI, DivX, XviD, MPEG2, etc. or changing from AVI, DivX, XviD into DVD format (or files such as VIDEO_TS and VTS)
