GETTING BANNED

    I was wondering if someone got banned from this forum,could they come back on it by creating a new user name and e-mail address.

    Yep they can. But if it is known that they already got banned, they have to behave immaculately, as pretty much everyone will have an eye open. So long as he/she has learned from why they got banned, I'm sure anyone is welcome back for a second chance

    It is possible yes, but that's really kind of what's hoped for. If someone goes so far as to get banned, they might decide that with their second account they'll behave a little better. Of course if they decide to keep coming back and back they'll keep having to sign up new email addresses - and lets not forget everyone has an IP address so if things went too far a look back in the logs could help (by reporting user to isp) but that is in soprt of radical cases :)

    and to add, usually, the regular members in here can pick out the recently "banned ones" just by the way they type, their sig, their attitude, or how they post... heck, some even admit they have been banned. the new 3 minute delay for newbies is to help reduce them from returning and also helps prevent spammers. if you are looking to get banned, just step out of line, it will happen !

    there was a discussion about this in another thread... they said it would be too hard to do an IP ban due to the fact of a few reasons. one being a public computer, and the other being AOL. it would wipe out lots of people. i did not say this, i just read it and am quoting.

    i dont believe the IP ban has ever even been used, especially since we get so much joy from banning the same moron over and over.

    but i think that when we get in and have a new member talking all kinds of crap, it does get kind of fun, then it always gets outta hand and then a mod comes in a closes the thread..
