    Hi,

Same problem here but i upgraded to win-xp with service pack 2.
I think we need to have win-xp with service pack 1 or higher as the HDD082 box mentions..

Is that the only problem that you have with it?
I'm trying to convince someone to get it for me for x-mas.
    So I need to know.
    Any other problems?
    Sound?
    Battery life?
    Stuff like that.

Does it say in the details for the mp3 player that you need xp ? if it does then there is no other option but to update to xp or return the player tell the store you cant use it and you should be able to get a refund , then try another player , might i recommend the 2gb ipod nano its pretty good , same spec as the philips and itunes will run on me

    HDD082 works with .. 1) WINDOWS 2000 + WMP9 + install all the software that has come with the player on the CDs. 2) WINDOWS XP + SP1 & higher + WMP10.

It is working perfect for me for both these combinations. At home (XP) + at office (2000).

Do not go for junk iPod, HDD082 is Play For Sure & best !
