yes, tried windows media player, showtime, and a couple others. I did install BeSweet, but that shouldnt have anything to do with video should it?

This is quite strange --- all media players stop working all of a sudden. Did you update your codecs recently?

no I havent. Thats what gets me, I havent done anything other than add BeSweet(BeLight) in the last few weeks. I added it to get the sound off of a DVD and burn a CD and it worked great. I know something has changed but I dont know what. I just put a DVD in one day and had no picture but the sound was there. Would it help if I reinstalled one of the players? Would it see what the problem is when it tried to install? or should I update codecs?

scf_au thanks for your time helpin me out, thats why I love this forum. people like you that know something helping people like me that dont :)

That's exactly what this forum is about --- people sharing ideas and helping each other out --- HOPEFULLY. *_*

I think you could try completely uninstall and reinstall one of the media players for testing. But remember to set up a restore point first.

You may even try uninstalling BeSweet to check, not that it's known to have conflicts with other softwares.

    Good luck!
