I got a version of Nero with my cdburner (a couple of years ago or more) and I'm quite happy with it, don't need anything more. But it only works with the burner it came bundled with and that's a drag. Anyone know any way to get around that? I've tried other things like Deepburner and BurnatOnce but they won't do what Nero will do. I've tried Nero 7, downloaded from afterdawn but it wouldn't install and run, something about a corrupt file. If there's a freeware burner that'll do the job somewhere out there I'd go for it. All I want to do is copy my CD's (software) from time to time (backups) and make vcd's and svcd's from my digital camera (canon a520) little home movies of my kids. In fact because I can't use Nero I'm hassling around trying to find some way of making svcd's at the moment. I'll post in another forum about that. Ulead dvd moviefactory won't work... those other burning progs don't doit... adobe premier won't accept the files...
My friend ran into that with an oem version. He removed it downloaded the latest version and his oem key worked with it.
Not quite the same thing. Mine came with a burner, not with a pc. Is that still an OEM edition? Any other clues or other burners? regards, ab
Yeah his came with a burner. I dont mean he upgraded though. I mean he updated from older build of 6 to newest build of 6 and the key for his oem worked. The only freeware burner I can recommend is imgburn. It dont do vcd and svcd though. Those will be authoring programs. I think there are still some out there.
