Hello, I have seen so many people asking about how to work Path of Neo and I have seen alot of people complaining that their rubuilding method doesnt work, well i've gone to the trouble to makeing these guides and making it more easier to understand, sort of like in noob langauge. I have also put pictures so alot of people can understand it :, this guide if done correctly can play Matrix Path of Neo and also Star Wars BattleFront 2, Fifa 2006, NBA Live 06, Madden NFL 06. This guide was particulary made for dummies in noob language so that everyone can understand.

Tools Needed & Where to Download:

Dvd Decrypter http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...

ISO Buster http://www.isobuster.com/dl.php?v=1&l=0

CD/DVD ROM Gen http://home.versatel.nl/joeriroels/Download/cdgen_15.rar (Credit to UCBEEF for this]

Apache2 http://www.backuptools.co.uk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=geti... (Not the server based stuff that you find in google)

Good Media, I wouldn't use 4x DVDs, they get currupted in a week or so. Check the Best Media Thread for more info.

THE METHOD

1) Open Dvd Decrypter and Left Click Mode>ISO>Read if its not alreaddy done so, next left click the destination folder and put the iso in a specific folder eg-Path of Neo and name the iso PON, press ok and than you press the Dvd Decrypt button which will take up to several minutes to burn the ps2 ISO to your hard drive.

2) Close Dvd dycrypter and open ISOBuster, Left Click File>Open Image File and look for the ISO you just decrypted, highlight it and press ok and it will show you the whole contents of the ISO. Left Click the highest file in the iso and hold shift and left click the lowest file of the ISO and it should be all highlighted (check the pic).

Right Click the hightlighted part and press Extract Objects, Extract them to a folder you would remember where you'd extract that too. (EG. Extract the Path of neo files to a folder called Path of Neo Files.) Leave ISO Buster as a reference.

3) Next Open CD/DVD ROM Generator, make a new project left click DVD-ROM Master Disk. Now open My Computer and go to your local disk and look for your files from the iso you extracted by ISO buster. Keep ISO buster visible, the cd/dvd generator visible and the folder full of the files visible. Look at the iso buster first file at the top, drag that from the folder to the cd/dvd gen and keep on doing it in the same order in iso buster. See Pic below

After all files is placed in correct order, Left click the volume TAB at the left of the pressed directory tab, and youll be taken to a new window, these next steps will be divided into two sections: (see the pic)

A-The disk name: put the exact same numbers / letters from the folder with the file that says sles [number] / slus [ number]. Example for me, my file said SLES_535.01, so i typed in SLES53501 in the Disc Name Boxes. Check Picture

B- Producer Name- ALWAYS PLAYSTATION, and for the Lincense area, Depends where you are, Eg If you are in Europe put europe.

Now After that has all been written down. Left Click File>Export IML File & put it in a folder you'd know you remember or on the desktop like I'd usually do. It would come with 2 files, 1 .iml and other .ims like in the pic \/ \/ \/ \/

4) Now open Apache2 and left click File>Import IML

Now you will see all the files you listed in order and press File again and press Build ISO, it will have a loading screen at the bottom on the percentage of the building iso. it will say when its done building the iso

5) Now you have your fully rebuilt ISO, The ISO will be rebuild and placed where your iml is so if your iml is on the desktop, the iso will be in the desktop.

OPTION-This is the time if you want to Patch your DNA file if you want to go online with the backup, go to this site if you want to know how to patch your iso to be online compatible
http://on-line.ps2nfo.com/
This doesn't need to be done if you dont have a router or your not going to play online.

Now Open DVD Decrypter and set the mode to write (MODE>ISO>WRITE), Place your DVD-R into the dvd-rw drive and look for the source, look for the newly rebuilt iso and select it as the source to burn.

And Finally set the burn speed to low and press the Burn Button and enjoy your newly rebuilt ISO which can now be played with swap magic.

jesus dude c'mon why is everybody making this so hard.....
EVERYBODY PAY ATTENTION here is how you play the new matrix game without rebuilding, patching, compressing,or whatever it is you have to do blacvk voodo, white magic,.....ok here it goes short simple and will work cuz my 9 year old boy is playing it right this very minute as i type he is playing.........
1.get your game that you bought not borrowed or rented "wink.wink"
2.decrypt it either with dvddecryptor or gamexcopy i used both and both workt fine.
3.i used great quality dvd 8X- from frys electronics .GQ DVD-R 8x
part#4158363 50blanks for 10 bucks.
4.insert your blank disk in your burner
5. click write on dvddecryptor or on gamexcopy click the write from image and select your matrix file make sure if using gamexcopy type the name of the game or it will just be the slu21273 file ...anywho...
6.when finish take the game out place in your ps2 (i use the swapmagic disk my sons have a mod on there's, my cuzin has hdloader and it workt perfect on ALL of them........
7.order pizza get some soda kick back and enter the matriks....
byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
p.s if using swapmagic and if you go to www.swapmagicfix.com and find no patch for the game THEN THERE IS NO NEED TO MESS WITH JUST BURN AND PLAY if it is not broke dont fix it!!!!!!!!!

@vicks_rub - Dude, most iso's that are over 4.3gig need rebuilding. PAth of neo is over that and alot of people are having probs. So people rebuild it.. Im just trying to help

@jalaneme - Some Apache2's are currupt and sometime it will make the isos, bigger, but if you have a good apache, it should make the iso smaller like it did for me.

well, there were other posters that mentioned this problem. about the ISO size getting bigger.

Hi guys, I managed to find an original PAL Path of Neo, and I tried to back it up. I followed all the steps in the rebuild tutorial that 3dluis posted here, but I'm having a problem with Building the ISO with Apache2.
It's like, everything goes great, but when building the ISO it sort of freezes at 99%. The wierd thing is, that I left it running, thinking that it was normal, but when I got back to it, it was still stuck at 99% and the ISO file that it was building was near 5.5 GBs !!
and this was a while back talking about rebuilding path of neo. it's much more simple to use Nero. with this program you have to download this and the cd gen thing, do unessicary steps to rebuild image, when Nero has all thses features in one and it's more simple.

Well that meens he did something wrong if you exract the files on your desktop with apache instead of isobuster you can right cilk the rebuild file go to props and see the size of the game and if you put the file in cddvdgen the same order that apche had them import the iml file and open the iml file back with apache and build your iso it would work

Did you alraedy find the solution, 3dluis? Because with Apache 2, i have the same problem. The ISO-building freezes at 99%. When trying to burn the ISO-file with DVD-decrypter, i've got the message that the file is to large. When trying to burn the ISO-file with Nero, i've got the same message (larger than 2 GB. Hopefully you find the solution. Excuses for my poor English (i'm from Europe).

Ok look people if you DL the game then maybe theres no luck for you so please don't ask anymore about the problem but if you went to go buy it or the other way that everyone does it you now local rental store **hint** then do this

GET Apache 2
GET CDdvdgen 1.20
DVD Decrypter
That's all you need
1.Open decrypter to iso read to put the game iso on hard drive

2.open the game with apache point to the game on you left thatlooks like a CD image right click it and hit extract all

3.When thats done open cddvdgen click new project then click dvd-rom master disc put the game files in the same order that apache had them go to volume and where it say Disc name you put for ex.(SLUS *****)
after that go to producer name put in PLAYSTATION and where it say Licence Area i pick america. Ater that go to file at the top on cddvdgen and click Export iml file it will ask you to save on your HDD you can put a short name of the game click save and that's it for cddvdgen close it

4. Go back to apache go to file on the top and click Import iml file then you should see on your right all the file of the game then go back to file and click build ISO and there you go wait for it to finish and burn it to a DVD-R on good media and burning speed such as 2x-4x
It should work

Wow you can Burn Ps2 games

ok, i can confirm that path of neo does NOT need to be rebuillt PAL or NTSC versions, i just direct burn the game and played. the rebuild method above does NOT need to be used, anyone having problem burning the ISO it's a bad image, you need the orignal DVD ROM to make a new image and burn that.
