I am short on CPU power. I run a 650mhz PIII w. 256RAM, which means that DVD2SVCD+CCE compresses a movie over 20 hours. Since this PC is my primary workstation, I can't reserve it for encoding for a day. I need more encoding speed, but still I would like somewhat decent quality..

So could you SVCD experts suggest me software/encoders and settings - How to get a good speed/quality ratio. Are these new DVD backup softwares, like Pinnacle and many others, any good in terms of encoding speed or quality?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]http://CD-RW.ORG - Online since 1996
