i am getting so fraustrated. so many coasters.
i have verbatim digital movie dvd+r's, the ones with film reels
    i want to make a movie playable on the ps2. scph-30001 ps2 which i think is v5 or v6

i dragged and dropped the video_ts and audio_ts folders to my harddrive from the dvd drive folder.

    now what?!!!
please, has anybody got a dvd working on the ps2.
one of my friend's dvd worked, but it had no menu
i dont care about menu's, but i do care about wasting so many dvd's.

Im not sure you will have to google it but I thought the PS2 was like the Xbox you have to have a mod chip installed to play copyed games. I think there is a console forum here on afterdawn.

    Good Luck

Ok you're a bit vague with your issue but, I'll do my best to give you some info to help.

If you're trying to copy a commercial DVD and make it work in the PS2 then, it should be no different than any other DVD Player and you can follow the guides here:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial007.html

How exactly did you get your VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to the hard drive to begin with?
What software are you burning with? Nero, Roxio, Or Sonic?

And honestly, for about 30 bucks, you could get a DVD Player that will play a dinner plate and save alot of wear and tear on your PS2. I did at one time use the PS2 as a DVD player but changed my ways.

first, i had an image file, .img.
so i used daemon tools to mount the image file.
then i opened up the drive folder, and i just dragged and dropped the video_ts and audio_ts folders into my desktop

i knew i should've just burned the image but the only movie that worked in my ps2 was burned with the video_ts folder
